Katzenelnbogen () is the name of a castle and small town in the district of Rhein-Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Katzenelnbogen is the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Aar-Einrich.

Crémieu (; Arpitan: Crèmiœ) is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France. This medieval village of 3,536 inhabitants (2023) hosts a celebration called "Les Médiévales" every year in September, which reconstitutes the lifestyle of the Middle Ages.
The seal of the région includes a dolphin. The inhabitants of this village are also called "les dauphinois" from the noun "dauphin" in French. The local dish is "le gratin dauphinois" which is a rich potato gratin.

Fadak
Fadak () was a village with fertile land in an oasis near Medina. The takeover of Fadak by Muslims in 629 CE was peaceful and a share of it thus belonged to the Islamic prophet Muhammad. After Muhammad died in 632, Fadak was confiscated from his daughter Fatima and administered as public property, despite her objections. Fadak later changed hands many times as a fief.

Jobar () also Jawbar, Jober or Joubar, is a village on the outskirts of Damascus northeast of the old city walls. It contains the most venerated site for Syrian Jews, the 2,000-year-old Jobar Synagogue, named for the biblical prophet Elijah, and has been a place of Jewish pilgrimage for many centuries. Today 93% of Jobar lies in ruins due to a prolonged battle fought between the Syrian Army and various rebel groups from February 2013 to 23 March 2018. It has been the site of hostilities during Syrian Civil War, including the 2017 Jobar offensive.

Birofeld (; ) is a village (selo) in Birobidzhansky District of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Russia. It is an early Jewish settlement, which was founded in 1928 when a large collective farm was established in the area. In 2003, a Jewish Book Festival took place here. In 2006, Chief Rabbi of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Mordechai Scheiner, visited Birofeld with the Jewish community of Birobidzhan. As of 2007, some of the original Jewish settlers still lived here.

Homesh
Homesh () is an Israeli settlement in the West Bank along Route 60, just south of the Palestinian towns of Silat ad-Dhahr and Fandaqumiya, illegally built on private Palestinian land. The settlement is under the administrative jurisdiction of the Shomron Regional Council. In 2005, the settlement homes were demolished along with three other settlements in the northern West Bank, at the same time as the Israeli disengagement from Gaza. In 2025, the settlement was officially reestablished following Israeli government approval. It is currently home to about 20 families.
