XBill
XBill is an arcade style game for the X Window System. The game features a bespectacled character known as "Bill" (a spoof of Bill Gates). The goal is to prevent Bill's legions of clones, referred to as "micro-Bills", from installing "Wingdows", a virus "cleverly designed to resemble a popular operating system" (a parody of Windows), on a variety of computers running other operating systems. It was popular among Linux gamers at the end of the 1990s, selected as Linux Journal reader's second favourite Linux game in 1999.

Mindustry is a free and open-source real-time strategy, factory management, and tower defense game developed and published by Anuken under the GNU General Public License v3. It is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, where it can be downloaded for free from its author. It can also be bought on Steam and the App Store. As an open-source game, players can mod the game and its client without restriction, and it has no advertisements or in-app purchases; development is supported by donations.

Players assume the role of miners on a team, aiming to collect the highest amount of money by mining ore while avoiding and fighting the opposing team. According to its creator, Zachary Barth, the game was inspired by Infinifrag, Team Fortress 2, and Motherload by XGen Studios. The game has been cited as an influence on the development of Minecraft.
