Brachylagus
Brachylagus () is a genus of lagomorph that contained the smallest living leporid, the pygmy rabbit before it was reclassified as a member of Sylvilagus in 2022. The genus name was originally proposed by Gerrit Smith Miller Jr. in 1900 as a subgenus for the pygmy rabbit, as it then had the scientific name Lepus idahoensis, but its characteristics differed greatly from the known subgenera of the time. Marcus Ward Lyon Jr. elevated the subgenus to genus level in 1904. One extinct species, Brachylagus coloradoensis, is known to belong to the genus.
Condylura
Condylura is a genus of moles that contains a single extant species, the star-nosed mole (Condylura cristata) endemic to the northern parts of North America. It is also the only living member of the tribe Condylurini.
Prosthennops
Prosthennops is a genus of extinct peccaries that lived in North and Central America between the middle Miocene and lower Pliocene (around 15-5 million years ago).
Tayassu
Tayassu is a genus of peccary. The only extant species is the white-lipped peccary (Tayassu pecari). Collared peccary is suggested now as a possible member of same genus. At least one extinct species, T. edensis, has been placed in the genus. Many sources regard Dicotyles as a synonym. , the Paleobiology Database regarded Dicotyles as a separate genus.
Neotetracus
Neotetracus is a genus of gymnure that contains a single extant species, the shrew gymnure (Neotetracus sinensis) of China and Southeast Asia.
Parablarinella
Parablarinella is a small genus of shrews in the subfamily Soricinae of the family Soricidae that was split off from Blarinella due to recent Cytochrome b analysis.
