Halvaria
Halvaria is a taxonomic grouping of protists that includes Alveolata and Stramenopiles (Heterokonta).
CRuMs
CRuMs is a clade of microbial eukaryotes, whose name is an acronym of the following constituent groups: Diphylleids, rigifilids, and mantamonads as sister of the Amorphea. A new CRuMs order Glissandrida was proposed in 2025 to place the yet unclassified genus Glissandra. It more or less supersedes Varisulca, as Ancyromonadida are inferred not to be specifically related to the orders Diphylleida / Collodictyonida, Rigifilida and Mantamonadida.
Provora
Provora is a supergroup of eukaryotes made up of predatory microbes, whose name implies something such as "protists devouring voraciously". It was reported that ten strains were isolated and cultured in 2022. They are predators of other microorganisms. Their discovery was very delayed, compared to other microorganisms in their environments, due to their rarity. Their 18S ribosomal RNA is very different from that of other eukaryotes consistent with their being a lineage without known close relatives; this was confirmed by phylogenomic analyses of datasets of several hundred proteins, so they we
Disparia
Disparia () is a supergroup of eukaryotic microbes. It represents one of the five primary clades within Diaphoretickes, although its exact position in this group is unclear. While this clade of protists is not particularly species-rich compared to other supergroups, the species within it are particularly diverse. The clade Promethea has a definition similar to that of Disparia, and the two have an identical taxonomic composition.
