A new CRuMs order Glissandrida was proposed in 2025 to place the yet unclassified genus Glissandra. It more or less supersedes Varisulca, as Ancyromonadida are inferred not to be specifically related to the orders Diphylleida / Collodictyonida, Rigifilida and Mantamonadida.
