VVVVVV is a 2010 puzzle-platform game created by Terry Cavanagh. In the game, the player controls Captain Viridian, who must rescue their spacecrew after a teleporter malfunction caused them to be separated in Dimension VVVVVV. The gameplay is characterized by the inability of the player to jump, instead opting on controlling the direction of gravity, causing the player to fall upwards or downwards. The game consists of more than 400 individual rooms, and also supports the creation of user-created levels.

Antichamber is a first-person puzzle-platform game created by Australian developer Alexander "Demruth" Bruce. Catrap, known as Pitman in Japan, is a 1985 puzzle-platform game developed by Yutaka Isokawa for the Sharp MZ-700 computer. A port to the Game Boy developed by ASK Kodansha was released in Japan in June 1990 and North America in October 1990 by Asmik. Puggsy is a 1993 puzzle-platform game developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Psygnosis. It was released for the Mega Drive and Mega-CD consoles, as well as the Amiga home computer, on October 1993 in Europe and in North America on January 6, 1994. The game was to be released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, but the version was cancelled. The game revolves around the titular character Puggsy, an orange space hopper–like alien who landed his spaceship on The Planet, intending to return home until his spaceship was stolen by the raccoon natives of the planet.
