Pyrazolodiazepines

Zolazepam (Flupyrazapon) is a pyrazolodiazepinone derivative structurally related to the benzodiazepine drugs, which is used as an anaesthetic for a wide range of animals in veterinary medicine. Zolazepam is usually administered in combination with other drugs such as the NMDA antagonist tiletamine or the α2 adrenergic receptor agonist xylazine, depending on what purpose it is being used for. It has 5-10 times the potency of diazepam.

Zomebazam produced by Hoechst is a pyrazolodiazepinone derivative drug with anxiolytic properties. It is structurally related to razobazam and zometapine.

Zometapine (CI-781) is an antidepressant drug which is a pyrazolodiazepine derivative. Its molecular structure closely resembles thienodiazepines and is unrelated to other antidepressant drug classes.

Razobazam (INN) is a drug which is a benzodiazepine derivative. Its mechanism of action appears to be quite different from that of most benzodiazepine drugs, and it produces nootropic effects in animal studies.

Ripazepam is a pyrazolodiazepinone derivative structurally related to certain benzodiazepine drugs, especially zolazepam. It has anxiolytic effects.
