Polypodiaceae
Polypodiaceae is a family of ferns. In the Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group classification of 2016 (PPG I), the family includes around 65 genera and an estimated 1,650 species and is placed in the order Polypodiales, suborder Polypodiineae. A broader circumscription has also been used, in which the family includes other families kept separate in PPG I. Nearly all species are epiphytes, but some are terrestrial.

Spergularia
Spergularia is a genus in the family Caryophyllaceae, containing salt-tolerant plants known as sandspurrys (or sandspurries) and sea-spurreys. There are about 60 species.

Microchilus is a neotropical genus of about 261 species belonging to the orchid family (Orchidaceae). The native range of this genus is tropical & subtropical America.

Stenoptera
The gelechioid moth genus Stenoptera, established by Duponchel in 1838, is a junior synonym of Esperia. The gall midge genus Stenoptera, invalidly established by Meunier in 1902, has been renamed Neostenoptera.

Anisodontea is a genus of flowering plants in the tribe Malveae of the mallow family Malvaceae. It comprises 19 species native to South Africa and Lesotho. Members of the genus typically bear toothed leaves with three or five palmate, uneven lobes. Members of the genus also typically bear flowers with a pubescent calyx, a five-petaled corolla streaked from the center and pink to magenta in color, and stamens with anthers of a dark color.

Pronephrium
Pronephrium is a genus of ferns in the family Thelypteridaceae, subfamily Thelypteridoideae, in the Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group classification of 2016 (PPG I). Other sources sink Pronephrium into a very broadly defined genus Thelypteris. Some species were split off into the genera Abacopteris, Grypothrix and Menisciopsis in 2021 as a result of a phylogenetic study of the family Thelypteridaceae.
