SummerSlam 2000
The last SummerSlam of the 20th century heated up Raleigh, N.C., with a true WWE innovation: the first Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match. In that harrowing adventure, pioneers Edge & Christian retained the World Tag Team Titles against Matt & Jeff Hardy. The WWE Championship was on the line in a Triple Threat Match involving The Rock, Triple H and Kurt Angle, while Chyna left the event with her second Intercontinental Title. And all those who witnessed it no doubt remember Steve Blackman chasing Shane McMahon up a tall trestle — a scene that ended with Blackman launching himself into a 30-foot elbow drop onto The Boy Wonder!
