In the fall of 2007, Adam Loomis started to write music as a solo artist, using only a demo version of Fruity Loops studio, and frequently borrowed macbooks to record to Garageband. It was the sketchiest recording perhaps of all time. Knowing no better, Adam decided to publish the music anyway, but first, he chose a name. At the time, and in fact, to this day, he wears a very comfortable knitted hat that once bore the brand name 'elm'. The tag has been lost <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Ada
