Adolf Bruno Heinrich Ernst Heusinger (* 4. August 1897 in Holzminden; † 30. November 1982 in Köln) war ein deutscher General und von 1957 bis 1961 der erste Generalinspekteur der Bundeswehr. Heusinger diente in vier deutschen Armeen: Von 1915 bis 1920 im Heer des Deutschen Kaiserreichs, von 1920 bis 1935 in der Reichswehr, von 1935 bis 1945 in der Wehrmacht, in der er von 1937 bis 1944 die Operationsabteilung des Generalstabes im Oberkommando des Heeres führte. Von 1955 bis 1964 war Heusinger schließlich Soldat der neugegründeten Bundeswehr, an deren Aufbau er maßgeblichen Anteil hatte. Zuletzt war er Vorsitzender des NATO-Militärausschusses.
