==History== ===ِِArchaeology=== Conder and Kitchener, during the Survey of Western Palestine in the 1870s, found ad-Dhahiriya undermined by ancient caves. In the centre of ad-Dhahiriya was a tower, which appeared to be from before the Crusader era, possibly from early Christian or Roman period.
