Al-Majma'ah Governorate borders the Eastern Province and Al-Qassim Province to the north, Thadig and Shaqra to the south, Rumah to the east, and Al-Ghat and Al-Zulfi to the west.
Founded in 1417 CE by an immigrant from the Al-shammari tribe, Al Majma'ah is considered part of the lands and homes of the Mutair tribe in Najd.
