Alpheus Fabricius, 1798 è un genere di crostacei appartenente alla famiglia Alpheidae. Il genere comprende oltre 250 specie. Caratteristica, come per altri gamberi, è la chela in grado di produrre rumore, utilizzata per la caccia. Alcune specie di questo genere vivono in simbiosi con i pesci della famiglia Gobiidae.
