أندريا بالاديو (30 نوفمبر 1508 - 19 أغسطس 1580، هو مُصمّم ومهندس معماري فينيسي، أُعتبرَ الشخص الأكثر تأثيراً على نحو واسع في . صمم مبانٍ على النسق ، متّبعاً مبادئ الهندسة المعمارية التي ارسى قواعدها الرومان. ولكنه كان يكره الزخرفة غير الضرورية، وتتميز مبانيه باستغنانه عن ذلك. وقد أدخل إلى الهندسة المعمارية أيضاً الشرفات المعمّدة كميزة بارزة في التصميم، ذات الفسحات بين العمودين بفُتحه مستديرة الرأس على جناحيها فُتحتان مربعتا الرأس. وقد اعتمد في انكلترا طراز الهندسي في فن العمارة وطّوره.
