Anita Pointer (Oakland, 23 de enero de 1948), cantante de soul y R&B. Es la segunda hermana mayor de la formación musical The Pointer Sisters. Formó parte de la banda desde su creación en 1972. A finales de los '70 y principios de la siguiente década tuvo un periodo en solitario en RCA, no con mucho éxito, lo que la hizo volver a volcarse en The Pointer Sisters. En solitario tan sólo llegó a las listas de ventas en 1987 con el tema "Overnight Sucess". Sigue en activo colaborando con diferentes bandas y álbumes, habiendo sido el último "All star tribute to Cher" (2005), donde versiona el tema "Take me home". Perdió a su única hija, Jada en 2003 a consecuencia de un cáncer, que la dejó a cargo de su nieta Roxie de tan solo 12 años.
