Apache Velocity est un package libre développé par la Fondation Apache. Velocity est un moteur de gabarits (ou templates en anglais), développé en Java, qui fournit un langage de gabarit simple et puissant d'objets référencés définis en Java. Son but est d'assurer une séparation claire entre la couche présentation et la couche métier dans une application web (voir le design pattern Modèle-Vue-Contrôleur). C'est un logiciel libre distribué selon les termes de la licence Apache.
