Taiwan + Tibet), Japan (incl Ryukyu Islands), Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, New Guinea, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Caroline Islands, Madagascar, Mauritius, Réunion, Socotra, Oman. Formerly included see Andropogon, Ichnanthus, Ischaemum, Polytoca, Themeda, Zeugites
