Aron Gurwitsch (1901-1973) was a transcendental phenomenologist of lithuanian origin. Despite the wide range of his contributions, Gurwitsch is perhaps most widely noted for his non-egolocical theory of consciousness - a theory removing the transcendental ego Husserl had postulated. He was also a long time editor of the major journal Philosophy and Phenomenological Research. Read more on Last.fm
