Arthur Shepherd was an American 20th-century composer and conductor, influenced by Vaughan Williams, Percy Goetschius, George W. Chadwick, Arthur Farwell, and the French Impressionists. He composed over 100 works, including symphonies, string quartets and songs. Shepherd was born February 19, 1880 in Paris, Idaho into a Mormon family.
