Ashland City is a town and the county seat of Cheatham County, Tennessee. Located in Middle Tennessee, it is part of the Nashville-Davidson–Murfreesboro–Franklin, TN Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2024 U.S. Census Bureau estimate, the population was 5,689, an increase from 5,193 in the 2020 census.
