Der Milzfarn (Asplenium ceterach, Synonym: Ceterach officinarum) wird auch Schriftfarn oder Apothekerfarn genannt und ist eine Art der Familie der Streifenfarngewächse (Aspleniaceae), die in Mitteleuropa anzutreffen ist. In Deutschland steht sie unter Naturschutz. Sie gehört zu den poikilohydren Pflanzen (Wechselfeuchte Pflanzen, so genannte „Auferstehungspflanzen“). Nach längerer Trockenheit sehen die Pflanzen eingerollt und vertrocknet aus; sobald es feucht wird, ergrünen sie.
