Asterix is a horizontal-scrolling beat'em up arcade game released in 1992 by Konami. It is based on the French comic series Asterix and Obelix. The player fights as either Asterix the Gaul or his best friend, Obelix, as they take on the 'might' of the oppressive Roman Empire. Asterix includes a variety of humorous fighting moves, which are demonstrated in the game's attract mode. 『アステリクス』（英：Asterix）は、1992年に当時のコナミ（2006年3月31日の持株会社化に伴い、版権はコナミデジタルエンタテインメントに移行）より発売されたベルトスクロールアクションゲームのアーケードゲームで、フランスの漫画『アステリックス』を原作としているが、本作のタイトルには「ッ」は入らない。 サウンド面ではBGMは泉陸奥彦、江川麻理子、山根ミチル、仲野順也、A.HASHIMOTOが、効果音はJ_KANE（兼田潤一郎）が担当している。
