==Description== Plants in this genus are erect shrubs that are either single-stemmed (subgenus Hexocenia) or bushy (subgenus Astrotricha). Leaves are often cordate and usually laneolate or linear, and often covered in a dense indumentum. Inflorescences are usually terminal panicles composed of umbels.
