Atheta annexa Atheta savardae Atheta klagesi Atheta (лат.) — род коротконадкрылых жуков семейства стафилиниды из подсемейства Aleocharinae. Более 1000 видов, один из крупнейших родов жуков. Встречаются всесветно, включая остров Гренландия (Atheta groenlandica). Мелкие наземные жуки (длина тела 3—4 мм) тёмноокрашенные, вытянутой формы; голова и пронотум примерно одинаковой ширины. Усики 11-члениковые, прикрепляются у внутреннего края глаз. Средние и задние лапки 5-члениковые (передние 4-члениковые). Челюстные щупики 4-члениковые. Губные щупики 3-члениковые. Средние тазики сближенные, почти соприкасаются друг с другом. В растительных остатках, под опавшей листвой, навозом и падалью, в грибах, во мху, под камнями. Некоторые виды отмечались в гнёздах птиц и норах млекопитающих.
