Ayos is a town and commune in the department of Nyong-et-Mfoumou Centre region of Cameroon.
The district is noted for its place in the history of medicine: the 1920s saw the establishment of a medical center managed by the French doctor Eugène Jamot, famed as the person who cured sleeping sickness.
