== Population == The town of Bahzani, together with its twin village Bashiqa, have historically hosted diverse populations. The majority of residents today are Yazidis, who speak Arabic as their mother language. Other populations include Assyrians, Shia Muslims, Sunni Muslims, and Shabaks.
