Basehor (/ˈbeɪsər/ BAY-sər) is a city in Leavenworth County, Kansas, United States, and part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 6,896. It is the 3rd largest city in Leavenworth County by population. Basehor is named after Reuben and Ephraim Basehor, who founded the town as a farming community.
