Betalipothrixvirus is a genus of viruses in the family Lipothrixviridae. Archaea serve as natural hosts. The genus contains six species.
All species within the genus have linear double-stranded DNA genomes and some infect hyperthermophilic crenarchaea of the orders Sulfolobales.
