William (Billy) Mitchell (né le 29 décembre 1879, mort le 19 février 1936) était un général américain, pilote et pionnier de l'aviation militaire. Sa carrière dans l'armée fut parsemée de controverses et de problèmes avec sa hiérarchie. Il fut condamné par une cour martiale pour insubordination en 1925.
