Birger Sjöberg (December 6, 1885 - April 30, 1929) was a Swedish songwriter, balladeer, novelist and journalist. He first got famous with his song book "Fridas bok" (1922), but due to stage fright he did not perform very often. With his novel "Kvartetten som sprängdes" (1924) he also achieved literary fame, but his anxieties and fears made him unable to write a follow-up. In 1929, Sjöberg died of double-sided pneumonia, and after his death "Fridas andra bok" was released. <a href="https://www.la
