As a 1980s BMX rider touring in Europe, Bob became exposed to the new wave of electronic music and loved it. Soon after, he bought a keyboard and drum machine and began composing, singing and mixing his own synth-pop music using a four-track cassette recorder, MIDI sequencer and various synthesizers. Influenced by bands such as Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yaz, Pet Shop Boys, OMD and others, Bob wrote and recorded several songs that remained in storage while he built his bike and Harodesign businesses
