Bob "The Bear" Hite (February 26, 1943 - April 5, 1981) was the lead singer of blues-rock band Canned Heat from 1965 up until his death in 1981. in 1965, aged 22, Hite formed the band Canned Heat with Alan Wilson, Larry Taylor, Frank Cook and Henry Vestine.
