Bob Wootton (March 4, 1942 - 9 April 2017) was an American guitarist. He was a guitarist for Johnny Cash for nearly thirty years. In 1968 he joined the Johnny Cash backing band, the Tennessee Three, after original lead guitarist, Luther Perkins, died in a house fire. Robert Wootton was born in 1942 in Paris, Arkansas.
