Bobby Russell was an American song writer,born April 19,1940. He was born in Nashville,Tennessee. He was married for a short time to actress Vicki Lawrence, in which he wrote "The Night the Lights Went In Georgia" , became a big hit for her. He also wrote the Grammy Song of the Year 1968 "Little Green Apples".
