== Taxonomy == Bodianus belongs to the wrasse tribe Hypsigenyini. Gomon (2006) split up the species in Bodianus amongst 10 subgenera. However, these subclassifications of Bodianus only roughly line up with findings of more recent phylogenetic analyses.
