Brač [brâːtʃ] (lateinisch Bretia, italienisch Brazza, deutsch früher Bratz) ist die größte Insel in Dalmatien mit etwa 40 km Länge und 12 km Breite. Auf der westlichen Seite liegen die Insel Šolta und die Meerenge Splitska vrata, südlich befinden sich die Insel Hvar und die bis zu 91 Meter tiefe Meerenge von Hvar (Hvarski kanal).
