== Taxonomy == The Britzelmayria genus was created in 2020 by the German mycologists Dieter Wächter & Andreas Melzer when the Psathyrellaceae family was subdivided based on phylogenetic analysis. Two members of the Psathyrella genus were reclassified as Britzelmayria.
