Butch Moore (1938 - 2001) was an Irish singer that represented Ireland for the first time at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1965 with a song called "Walking the Streets in the Rain". In his native Dublin, 16-year-old guitarist and singer Butch Moore began his climb up the musical ladder. From playing parish hall shows solo, to playing small clubs with rock, pop and jazz groups, he became the resident singer in the national ballroom and from here, one year later was chosen to be the lead singer
