Other mustard flowers may look similar, and have four petals, but they are not succulent, nor do they have the unique fruits of the sea-rocket. (Weatherbee, 2006) Harpers Searocket (C. harperi), occurring from North Carolina to Florida, has much more angulate fruits. European Searocket (C. maritima), introduced from Europe and occurring along our northern beaches, has very deeply lobed leaves. (NPIN, 2007)
