Capelas es una freguesia portuguesa perteneciente al municipio de Ponta Delgada, situado en la Isla de São Miguel, Región Autónoma de Azores. Posee un área de 16,84 km² y una población total de 3 759 habitantes (2001). La densidad poblacional asciende a 223,2 hab/km². Se encuentra a una latitud de 37°50'N y una longitud 25°41'O.
