The district is part of the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area, and covers a land area of 77.18 km2. It had a population of 46,186 at the 2010 Census and 51,619 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2024 was 55,719 (comprising 27,863 males and 27,856 females).
