Encyclopedic overview
Casella is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Genoa in the Italian region of Liguria, about 14 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004 it had a population of 3,131 and an area of 7.8 square kilometres (3.0 mi).
The municipality of Cassella contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) of: Carpeneta, Cortino, Crocetta, Parata-Salvega, Stabbio, Stazione.
