Mindanao — an archipelago and its primary island, and one of the three island groups of the Philippines, located in the southern Philippines.
Mindanao island is the second largest in the Philippines. The Mindanao Super region and the Southern Philippines geo−cultural region also includes the Sulu Archipelago, Dinagat Islands, and other Mindanaoan islands and archipelagoes off the primary island's coasts.
