Mosul (Arabic: الموصل al-Mawṣil, Maṣlawī Arabic: al-Mōṣul, Assyrian: ܡܘܨܠ or Mawsil, Kurdish: Mosul/Ninawa, Turkish: Musul) is a city in northern Iraq and the capital of the Ninawa Governorate.
