Charles Lee Benante (born November 27, 1962) is an American musician best known as the drummer for thrash metal band Anthrax, as well as crossover thrash band Stormtroopers of Death. Alongside rhythm guitarist and band leader Scott Ian he has composed the majority of the music throughout Anthrax's discography Benante joined Anthrax in 1983, prior to the recording of the band's debut album Fistful of Metal, and has been the band's drummer ever since. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Charlie+Be

Charlie Benante, född 27 november 1962 i Bronx, New York, är en amerikansk musiker, mest känd som trummis i thrash metal-bandet Anthrax. Benante började spela med Anthrax 1983, efter att tidigare trummisarna Dave Weiss och Greg D'Angelo lämnat bandet, och har varit medlem sedan dess. Han har också spelat med bandet Stormtroopers of Death som spelar hardcore/cross over. Benante är morbror till Frank Bello, basist i Anthrax.
