チーフテン (FV 4201 Chieftain) は、イギリスで開発された第二次世界大戦後第2世代の主力戦車。 「チーフテン」は「族長」もしくは「酋長」の意味で、イギリスで「Chieftain」と言った場合、特にスコットランド高地氏族をはじめとする大英帝国隷下の族長や酋長を指す。
