Chip Jackson, bassist, is praised by critics and musicians alike for his "big melodious tone" and "exquisite intonation with a flowing time sense," qualities that make his solos "models of inventiveness." His career has included writing, leading, and arranging for his own groups; clinical and private teaching; recordings; and international touring. His first solo CD as a leader is entitled Is There a Jackson in the House (Jazz Key Music CD 1999; reissued January 2003). <a href="https://www.last.
