Christoph Nichelmann (b Treuenbrietzen, 13 Aug 1717; d Berlin, 1761/2). German composer. He was a pupil of Keiser, Telemann and Mattheson in Hamburg and served noble families. Moving to Berlin in 1739, he studied with Quantz and C. H. Graun, and in 1745-56 was (with C. P. E. Bach) a harpsichordist to Frederick the Great.
