The leaves are opposite or whorled, simple, and the margin usually entire. The flowers are arranged in capitula. The ovary is inferior. The fruit is indehiscent and is covered with woolly hairs.

Codia – rodzaj roślin z rodziny radziliszkowatych (Cunoniaceae). Według The Plant List obejmuje 15 gatunków. Wszystkie gatunki występują na Nowej Kaledonii. W Australii zostały znalezione skamieliny wymarłego gatunku rodzaju Codia, C. australiensis. Przypominały one młode liście tego gatunku. Istniejący obecnie gatunek również posiada pewne podobieństwa morfologiczne do tego wymarłego gatunku, co może wskazywać na wspólnego przodka.
